Our Story
In 2004, a passionate group of professionals and volunteers united with a mission to transform the lives of elderly and disabled seniors.
Their aim was simple and profound: to help seniors rediscover their talents, build social connections, and access vital community resources, empowering them to lead vibrant and fulfilling lives.
In February 2009, their dedicated efforts led to the opening of DLMC, Inc. in Hawaiʻi. They started Kamaʻāina Healthcare Services (KHS) in July 2009. With a focus on compassionate in-home assisted living and personalized healthcare, KHS has earned a reputation for empathy and excellence.
KHS strongly emphasizes quality care, addressing the holistic needs of each individual—body, mind, and spirit. Their unwavering dedication fosters a nurturing community that uplifts seniors, igniting hope and paving the way for a brighter future.

KHS aims to create a world guided by Christian love and selfless service. We provide peace and exceptional healthcare services for seniors, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and those in need, enhancing their dignity and quality of life. We strive to embody the principle of “love your neighbor as yourself,” treating every individual as a valued community member.
Mission
Our mission is to deliver compassionate, person-centered assisted living and senior healthcare services guided by our warm and dedicated hearts. We specialize in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) while also providing tailored care for our cherished elderly kūpuna, ensuring each person receives the care, respect, and love they truly deserve.
